Maurice Koopman of Nationale-Nederlanden has been appointed chairman of the Foundation for Uniform Organization of the Power of Attorney Chain (SUIV). Maurice succeeds Leon van Riet, who recently joined the management board of NN Group.
Koopman succeeded Van Riet as CEO of Non-life & Income within Nationale-Nederlanden on 1 June. Koopman previously served as CEO of OHRA and CCO within ABN AMRO Insurance. “SUIV is a unique collaboration between authorized representatives, insurers, system houses and software suppliers. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with the industry and helping the foundation to achieve its ambitious goals regarding standardization in the proxy channel, ”Koopman said.
SUIV was jointly established in 2019 by the Dutch Association of Insurers and the Dutch Association of Authorized Insurance Companies (NVGA) and focuses on standardizing the recording and exchange of data between authorized representatives and insurers and on improving data quality in the power of attorney channel.
SUIV’s board of directors also consists of Jorg Roodbeen (Gouda & Bredius), Jaap de Louw (Achmea) and Marcel van Loon (Central Power of Attorney).
